Kruger Park August

First weekend of August the Thompsons invited us to ride to Kruger Park, a four hour drive NE of Joburg. Here's entrance to Numbi Gate, on west side
of park. Day two, we learn
ed too late that having online reservations would have spared being turned away on grounds the
park was at
capacity. We waited anyway. The Crocodile River entrance guard succumbed to a piece of Picknpay chocolate cake and we spent another glorious day in park. Bathing in mud protects the elephants from insect bites. Another fabulous Af
rican sunset. A bird symbiotically nests on water buffalo [buffalo image adorns our 100 Rand notes, worth about USD12]. John violates the "Do Not Leave Your Car" rule to search for leopard [none sighted]. The Nelspruit Branch, outside Park entrance, anchored by the Smith Family, meets in this strip mall, upper floor. Returning home, Anita teaches us to text message at restaurant table. p.s. Do you notice this blog includes ten photos, six more than the user friendly Picasa method maximum four. Hmmm. I may revert? The Smith Family, with us and Keith Thompson, belongs near photo of the church; it refuses to move!

Hi Aunt Mary! I love reading about what you guys are up to. What an adventure!
